Silver Dollar City
These cheerful scarecrows reminded us of the fall season.
- The Silver Dollar Saloon put on a fantastic comedy!
One of the places we visited while in Branson, Missouri was the Silver Dollar City where they were celebrating the National Harvest Festival. This old west theme park has over 30 rides and attractions, 40 shows and award winning restaurants. The festival features over 100 craftsmen who have a variety of things for sale. My favorite show was at the Silver Dollar Saloon. Saloon girls are always entertaining but, this show featrured a very funny comedy act. We also saw “Headin West” at the Opera House and that was pretty good too. There is plenty of good food to eat. I was facinated by how things were cooked, many of the dished mixed all the meat and vegatables in one huge pan. It was really pretty neat to watch them cook. I didn’t eat much but, I had a great blackberry cobbler with ice cream of course! It was delicious!!! Learn more at Silver Dollar City.
